Roy Henry Vickers, a painter, carver and designer, acted as artist adviser in the building of Saanich Commonwealth Place and the refurbishment of Vancouver International Airport. The author of Solstice: The Art of Roy Henry Vickers and the illustrator of The Elders Are Watching, Vickers owns and operates galleries in Tofino and Victoria. Currently he lives and works on the Tsartlip Reserve on Vancouver Island near Victoria, British Columbia.
